Woman Molested in Bengaluru, Incident Caught on CCTV

BENGALURU: In Bengaluru, India, a woman was out for a morning walk when an unknown person molested her.

According to a report by India Today, the incident occurred around 5 am on August 2, the CCTV footage of which has also surfaced.

In the video, the woman can be seen standing outside a house when a man approaches her from behind.  He could then be seen chasing her and groping her on the street.

According to the police, the woman belongs to Rajasthan and used to go out for a walk every morning.

The woman was waiting for a friend when the incident happened to her.

The assailant was wearing a white shirt and pants and escaped on the spot. After this, the woman’s husband filed a report in the police station.

A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 76, 78, and 79 of the Bharatiya Naya Sanhita (BNS). A search has been launched to trace the accused.

DCP South Lokesh Jagalasar told the media, “The incident is being taken very seriously, and the safety and security of the women is our top priority. Apart from legal action, appropriate action is already being taken in the areas where police patrolling is needed.
