Trump’s Truth: Border Closure Promise and Legal Troubles
Trump made posts on his social media website, Truth, in which he also promised to close the border with Mexico if re-elected president.
“My first order of business as your next president will be to close the border, drill, baby, drill, and free the hostages wrongfully imprisoned on January 6th!” He expressed concern in his posts on Monday.
Donald Trump also asked President Biden to “release the J6 hostages, Joe” during a Jan 6 campaign rally in Iowa.
Trump faces four criminal charges, including the New York Civil Fraud Trial, the Hush Money Scheme, Washington DC Election Interference, and Georgia Election Interference – the result of his efforts to overturn the election results after losing to Biden.

According to Down News, Trump is virtually assured of being the Republican presidential nominee now that his last opponent, Nikki Haley, has dropped out of the race after her landslide victory in the primaries. Trump insists that his many legal troubles have boosted the support he enjoys among his Republican base, but it hasn’t hurt him.
