Google Maps is rolling out a new feature for Android users that has been available on iOS devices for a long time.

According to a report by 9 to 5 Google, the new feature of the Google Maps app for Android will make it possible for Android users to know about the weather and air quality.

A weather and air quality box will be located in the bottom left corner of the search bar, this box will contain temperature and air quality details while this box will also provide rain, snow, or other weather forecasts.

When clicking on this box, it will help to know more weather details like the temperature for the next 12 hours or how intense the heat will be.

Clicking on the air quality section will load the air quality map layer, this box will be quite small and disappear after selecting something on Google Maps.

The report said that this feature is being rolled out to Android users and very soon all users will be able to use it.
