Blast in Balochistan, 24 People Died, 52 Injured

PASHIN: A day before the election, 2 explosions in Balochistan 24 people killed and 25 injured.

The first blast took place near the office of independent candidate Asfandyar Kakar in the Khanuzai area of Pashin district in which 12 people were killed and 30 injured.

The explosive material was planted in the motorcycle, fortunately, Isfandyar Kakar was not present in the office at the time of the blast.

Sometime later, an explosion took place at the JUI(F) office in Qila Saifullah district, killing 12 people and injuring 22 others. Fortunately, Maulana Abdul Wasi of JUI was safe in this blast.

SP Qila Saifullah said that investigations into the nature of the blast are ongoing, and security arrangements have been increased.

Caretaker Information Minister Balochistan John Achakzai said that elections will be held in Balochistan tomorrow and it will be peaceful, the people will come out and the terrorists’ ambitions will be crushed.

He said that the terrorists will not succeed in their goals, and the war will continue until the end of the last terrorist.

The blast occurred in Qila Saifullah in National Assembly Constituency NA 251 and PB 47 in Pashin.

Deputy Commissioner Yasir Bazai has said that the condition of most of the injured is critical, the Balochistan government is sending a helicopter from Quetta to transfer the injured.

Yasir Bazai says that a high alert has been issued across the district, a bomb disposal squad team is present at the scene, and the blast site has been sealed for investigation.

Acting Information Minister of Balochistan John Achakzai while reacting to the blasts has said that the terrorists will not succeed in their goals, and the war will continue until the end of the last terrorist.

Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan has sought a report from the Home Department regarding the Pashin and Qila Saifullah blasts.

The Caretaker Chief Minister has directed the arrest of the elements involved in the blasts and said that such incidents are a conspiracy to sabotage the process of peaceful elections.
