Ushna Shah, who is bold and vocal in every issue, while reacting to Zara’s recent photo shoot, asked those people who have Zara brand clothes, if should they throw away all the clothes.

The actress condemned the brand’s recent campaign and tweeted on social media site X, Ushna wrote, ‘Should we throw away our existing Zara clothes or not buy new ones?’

“Since their clothes don’t have their brand name on them, I don’t think we should throw away their clothes that we already have,” she said.

At the same time, the actress wrote “Obviously, I will not buy clothes from their brand again”.

Ushna Shah also used the Boycott Zara hashtag which is currently top trending on X (formerly Twitter) in Pakistan.

Why is Boycott Zara trending?

The actress’ tweet came after Zara’s photoshoot caught the attention of social media users for being highly sensitive, allegedly showing tiny bodies wrapped in white cloths similar to Muslim burials. In addition, this photo shoot shows the helpless situation of the Palestinians.

It showed heaps of debris, statues of missing limbs, etc., which has created an uproar on social media, with people expressing outrage.

However, the brand has since deleted the image, which showed a model carrying a corpse-like figure on her shoulders, a corpse wrapped in a white cloth. Just as Palestinian mothers were shown hugging their dead children before they were wrapped in shrouds and buried.

Condemnation of photo shoot on social media

Apart from Ushna Shah, actress Mishi Khan also slammed the Zara brand and vowed to never buy their clothes again.

Mishi said that these people should be ashamed for making fun of innocent Palestinians.

Another X user named Alexander described this photo shoot as sad and said, ‘I am very surprised that these people are using the genocide of people in Palestine for their campaign. I will never, ever buy anything from Zara’.

The user added: ‘This is cruel, heartless and evil, an adventure mocking the deaths of over 20,000 Palestinians?’

Apart from this, Indian actress Gauhar Khan, who has been raising her voice for Palestine for the past several days, also reacted to this photo shoot and commented under the photos on Zara’s verified Instagram account.

Gohar wrote ‘You should be ashamed’, while the actress also used the hashtag ‘Free Palestine’.
