Nicki Minaj Arrested by Police for Possession of Soft Drugs
America’s most famous rapper, Nicki Minaj, was arrested by police at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on Saturday for possession of soft drugs.
Dutch military police confirmed that “a 41-year-old American woman has been detained for possession of soft drugs, noting that it is illegal to take such items out of the Netherlands.”
Police did not reveal the suspect’s identity at the time, but later posted on social media platform X, indicating that the woman was fined and released.
Minaj’s scheduled performance in Manchester, England was canceled due to the incident.

Minaj, 41, was detained hours before her scheduled show but was released 45 minutes after starting her performance at Manchester’s Co-op Live.
Minaj had previously posted a video on X, in which a Schiphol employee told her that the police planned to search all of her belongings.
